Todos Santos

Romantic Inspiration

Beautiful town founded in 1733 as Santa Rosa de las Palmas, where the Jesuits developed a project of great economic importance for the area: the cultivation and harvesting of sugarcane. In its peak it had up to eight sugar mills and also stood out for its great production of flowers.

Upon arrival, the colonial buildings that were used as warehouses begin to tell us something of their rich past, as the origin of the first bakery and bakery industries in the region.

Its climate, abundant vegetation and beautiful beaches on the Pacific Ocean have made Todos Santos a romantic refuge, a source of inspiration for national and foreign artists, who exhibit their original works in various galleries.

Surfers have also found a paradise in this place: Los Cerritos, San Pedro, La Pastora, Punta Lobos and Esteros are world renowned beaches for the practice of this sport. It should be noted that there is also a lot of sport fishing and clear, to the privileged sites to observe whales and dolphins.

The nightlife of Todos Santos offers something for all tastes, you will find from quiet and pleasant restaurants of gourmet food, to exciting bars and fun nightclubs; passing by charming cafes and boutique hotels, some of them with adobe structures and flowered patios.

Among its treasures is the Cultural Center Professor Néstor Agúndez Martínez, built at the end of the 1920s and that divides its area into 5 small regional museums; the General Manuel Marques de León Theater, of beautiful interior architecture, second theater that was built in the Southern Peninsula and current headquarters of the Art Festival, as well as the Mission of Our Lady of Pilar, founded in 1733.

To make matters worse, you can admire the Sierra de la Laguna, designated as a protected area for being a Biosphere Reserve and La Poza beach, which as its name suggests, has a body of fresh water where you can see a lot of bird species.

Todos Santos is a place of legendary charm, colorful and natural, as suspended in time and, fortunately for Mexicans, one that we can now call Magic Town.
